Sodium bicarbonate is known to be used for a very long time, at least from early antiquity, as well the ancient Egyptians extracted sodium bicarbonate from lakes in the Natron Valley.

Baking soda is now used in baking for muffins, pretzels, in the cosmetic chemical industry, in the production of natural cleaners, and in medicine, especially in acidosis – acidification of the body, constipation, gout, burning and swollen feet, as a means of personal hygiene, as eco spray, etc.
