Description

99.9% pure DMSO has both liquid and solid/crystal states of matter due to its relatively high freezing point of 18.5 °C (65.3 °F). This means that at or below room temperature, it is in a solid/crystal state, and above it, DMSO is a liquid.

Instructions for Handling DMSO in its Crystal State

If your DMSO is in a crystal state, you can liquefy it by following these steps:

1. Place the container of DMSO in a wide pot or container filled with hot water (not boiling).
2. If possible, close the container to retain heat.
3. Ensure that the water does not go above the neck of the bottle.
4. After 30-60 minutes, replace the water with fresh hot water.
5. Keep the bottle at room temperature above the melting point or place it on a heater overnight.

DMSO has been used for over 100 years in the United States. It is a natural substance derived from wood pulp and is harmless when used with the proper precautions. DMSO is an organic, colorless, natural, non-synthesized liquid extracted from lignin.

Important Note: DMSO is intended for use as a solvent only. Any other use is the sole responsibility of the user. Never use more than 5 drops or rarely 10 when needed. Always use super purified or distilled water. DO NOT use with tap water because you can bring in contaminants.
